A portfolio is nothing more than a folder in which we collect and present lessons from the previous school year
The portfolios are not as new as one would expect, but as “workbooks” they have long been an integral part of the classroom. The aim of the portfolios is the collection, documentation and reflection on a self-determined topic. They are developed independently (but under the supervision of the teachers) by the students. It is crucial that students strive to complete it using their individual efforts, so as to learn how to organize and structure themselves and their work.
In addition to the content, it is important that in their portfolios the students are able to evaluate themselves in the areas of specialist competences, methods, personality and social competences and, in addition, describe their own development. Learning through process and self reflection is important! The themes chosen by the students are individual and extraordinary, just like the students themselves.
